Scouting at Ascension (Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing) seeks to provide an enjoyable and rewarding experience where each Scout’s development is nurtured by supporting individuality, self-esteem, cooperation, community service, outdoor skills & experiences, and growth in their Catholic faith.

The Ascension Scouting program addresses the developmental interest of our youth in three stages:

• Cub Scout Pack 597 for youth from K through 5th grade.
• Boy Scout Troop 597 for boys from 5th grade to age 18.
• Venture Crew 597 for boys and girls ending 8th grade to age 21.

Scouting at Ascension is actively recruiting youth and supporting adults. Please note: All volunteers will need to complete the “Protecting God’s Children” program.

Girl Scouts:

If your girl is excited to explore new interests, make lasting memories, and be her authentic self, Girl Scouts is the place for your family. We invite you to join us to try fun new things, discover hidden talents, have real-world learning experiences, and grow in the Catholic faith within a safe, supportive environment.

Our program levels include:

• Girl Scout Daisy (grades K–1)
• Girl Scout Brownie (grades 2–3)
• Girl Scout Junior (grades 4–5)
• Girl Scout Cadette (grades 6–8)
